Artist-in-Residence 2026/2027

Lily Chang is a queer Taiwanese-born immigrant settler writer and director/producer in theatre and film @waxappleproductions based in Tiohtiá:ke/ Mooniyang/ Montréal. She graduated from Concordia’s MA program in creative writing and Mel Hoppenheim’s microprogram in screenwriting and film producing. Their work has been published by Room Magazine, Frog Hollow Press, Vernacular, HerStry, Dark Helix Press, and Ricepaper Magazine. She is a 2018 CBC Nonfiction Prize finalist, Infinithéâtre’s WoQ 2023 Playwriting Competition winner, Imago Theatre’s 2026 Simmer Festival producing mentee, and Why Not Theatre’s 2025-26 ThisGen Producing Fellow.
