Ruby Slippers Theatre presents

A staged reading of I LOST MY HUSBAND (J'ai perdu mon mari) – English Language Premiere as part of the rEvolver Theatre Festival

By Catherine Léger | Translated by Leanna Brodie

Cast | Pedro Chamale, Meghan Gardiner, Chirag Naik and Leslie Dos Remedios

Directed by | Diane Brown
Evelyn loses her husband in a bar bet. The thing is, she's not entirely sure she wants him back. A smart, feisty comedy about the important things in life: love, freedom, karaoke...
and never letting frozen yogurt stand in the way of your dreams.
"Behind its eccentric premise, and the great bursts of laughter that it provokes, lies a script that tackles some of the big, super-current issues in an original way."

Mission Statement

Multi award-winning Ruby Slippers Theatre produces provocative text-based theatre from the vanguard of the English and French Canadian canon. We further the voices of women in theatre, empowering them on and offstage, and are the only company in Vancouver whose mission includes producing the contemporary Quebecois canon in English. Our work illuminates diverse and underrepresented perspectives and social issues, inspiring independent critical thought, communion, and diversity.
